Placement Testing

All CRCD/UAF entering students and transfer students who have not completed freshmen composition and mathematics requirements for their program will need to take English and math placement tests prior to registering for classes. Placement testing is done to ensure enrollment in courses consistent with your ability and experience.

You can take the English and math placement tests in person at the Aleutian Pribilof Regional Center or you may request off campus testing through the College of Rural and Community Development. If you choose the off campus option, you will need to find a proctor.

Contact Jerah Chadwick if you have questions about placement testing.

Complete these steps with your ECE academic advisor

  1. Go over your official ECE/AAS course of studies academic checklist.
  2. Design your personal academic plan of study.

Completing Your Degree

Using your academic checklist, register for classes each semester see Course Schedule (.pdf). If your employer is paying your tuition, a letter of tuition authorization must be included with your registration form.
