Welcome to the UAS Counseling Center

Personal counseling provides a safe environment where people can share their thoughts and feelings, explore concerns, gain new awareness and find
positive new ways of looking at a situation.

Urgent Counseling Needs:

Suicide: If you feel suicidal or are thinking often about death or dying, talk with someone near by right away. (e.g. a peer advocate or professor) and come to the counseling office immediately to get some help.

Domestic/ Relationship Violence: If you are being physically or emotionally abused please make an appointment to speak with UAS Counseling staff or contact AWARE.

Eligibility for Counseling Services:

Any students who are enrolled in credit courses for the current semester are eligible.  Additionally, we offer distance (telephonic, video calling, etc.) counseling to students enrolled in one or more university credits.

UAS Counseling Center Confidentiality:

We observe confidentiality within the UAS Counseling Center and ensure that any information exchanged during the counseling process is used exclusively for the benefit of the student. Counseling records are not kept in student academic files and information is not released to anyone.
